Start the engine and let it run for a while or drive it a couple of miles before checking on hot range. Ensure that the vehicle is parked on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
Locate the transmission dipstick tube and insert the dipstick tool until it reaches the bottom. (Note that the dipstick tool may be longer than the tube due to different car models.)
Pull out the dipstick and check if the fluid is at the proper level and red in color. If the fluid color turns dark brown or black, it needs to be changed. 3
If fluid level is low and needs to be topped up, add no more than 200ml at a time, and recheck the level each time to prevent overfilling.
