Instruction

Wipe some honing oil around the cylinder wall. Installed the honing tool on a power drill and insert the hone into the cylinder.


Maintain a medium drill speed and keep oiled while moving the drill inside the cylinder back and forth.


After remove carbon, rust, and hest glaze from piston cylinder walls. Spread some clean engine oil around the bore to ensure that no rust develops.



Note

  • Prior measurement of the cylinder diameter is crucial before making a purchase decision.
  • Do not over roughen the cylinder walls and only use medium drill speed or you will damage the surface and cause cylinder leakage.
  • Using an impact wrench at around 2000 RPM is recommended for the operation.
  • Only pull the engine honer out when the rotation has completely stopped. Squeeze the honing stones together by hand to prevent deep scratches on the cylinder bores.
