I will start with the one and only Con. It comes with a non-standard air hose quick connect. Luckily I had another laying around so with a quick swap I was up and running.
This unit is very easy to use. In fact, it made brake changing fun and I can’t wait until my next brake job. It applied a slow constant push which was perfect. To adjust in or out, press the release button on the side. If you need more push, increase air hose pressure. I ran it at about 95 psi. Great construction, plenty of magnetic mounting adapters and a sturdy storage case. I would both recommend this to a friend and buy it again.

The air fitting that comes with the tool has a different thread pattern than standard fittings but I made it work.

Only thing it would be nice for this kit to have is the adaptor for electric brake capliber adaptor for Ford rear electric brake system.

Use this thing daily to wind back rear brakes, or front brakes with the included adapter. This thing rocks at the price. Haven’t found one car this doesn’t fit.

Nice complete set with various adaptors for rear brake calipers that require being twisted in. Better than doing by hand.
Got this based on a recommendation from another tech in the shop. I’ve only used this a handful of times and it’s worked well for me so far.
Only gripes I have with this unit is the air fitting that comes with the set is one that nobody uses. I ended up just jamming a 1/4″ Milton nipple on there with some pipe tape and cranked it in about half way.
(**Be careful when doing this as the body is made of aluminum**)
Second, is the unit applies pressure to the ram when idle, so I have to hold the release valve to allow clearance on the caliper. Probably something to do with the valve internally I’m sure.
All in all a decent set for those that do a lot of brake work at a fraction of the cost compared to the astro pneumatic set.

If you’re looking for the right tool for spin-in calipers, this is it. So much easier and faster than the standard sets where you have to do it by hand. The air powered tool constantly puts pressure against the piston for you so all you have to do is rotate the handle and that’s it. Compresses the calipers in a fraction of the time compared to the standard sets.

So much better than the (by hand) design this one does all the pushing for you all you have to do is spin the caliper in. Can even use it on normal calipers to push the piston back in!! Super strong! There are zero cons with this tool it surpasses the old design above and beyond! Im an ASE master technician so i use this tool almost daily!

This is an awesome kit! Works perfectly on my 2003 Volkswagen Jetta, and made compressing the rear disk brake calipers SO much easier and faster than trying to turn them by hand. The air gun makes a world of difference. If you like to do your own automotive work, or run a small shop, don’t hesitate to get this kit for brake jobs. You will be glad you did.

This thing is awesome. Works on wind back calipers and some push back single piston calipers. It’s a bit slow but saves a lot more time then the manual process. If you do a lot of brakes and they are wind back this is a huge time saver.
